This morning I stumbled upon a well written post linking to many useful Joomla components, modules and mambots. I fould this list so useful that I have copied it here. It used to span acroll multiple pages, so this version will be more accessible.
The original is here.
Note: It will take awhile to update this for all the new Joomla CMM links.
Please help by posting any updates/corrections you find in the DISCUSSION thread.
The previous list was developed over a number of months. This will take awhile to get back to normal.

The purpose of this list is to give Joomla users a head start on finding the most popular, most requested, and most useful open source Joomla add-ons. This will help current users to be more successful, new users to get started faster, and potential users to better evaluate Joomla. While this list attempts to be fairly comprehensive, it is not meant to be (or able to be) a complete list of all available CMM resources.
