Skate or Crash
Crash game prototype
“Skate or Crash” is a crash game prototype with a creative new take on the traditional “crash game” concept where the player is an animated “skater boy” and the challenge is guessing when the crash will happen.
This game is funny functional with a local, mock, server running in Javascript. This mock server emulates the same network calls that a real server would make, resulting in a true mock server.
This is built as an “inifinite runner” style game where the player needs to predict how long they can go before “crashing” and losing their wager.
This example is proving:
- A creative new approach for existing crash game models.
- Building the server with the game in a mock state can greatly speed up development.
- Using Spine 2D is valuable as a tool for art integration.
- These games can be created very quickly.
Give it a try, practice your crash game skills.
